Operating and Cleaning Instructions
Stones Must Be Primed
It is necessary to prime the stones before using the flour. To do this run two cups of wheat through on the cereal setting and then rerun the same four thorough again and throw away this flour.
Your Grain Must Be Dry.
Grain absorbs moisture. If you live in a moist climate, or if it is winter time, or even if your grain has been sealed in a vacuumed pack it still could contain moisture. If your grinder gums up the grain is wet. To dry your grain you can put it in a shallow pan and put it in the oven on low for a short time and the grain will dry out.
Adjustments:
Move the adjustment lever at the front of the motor to change the flour settings. The markings Cereal, Bread.and Cake on the motor will help you in selecting the texture that you desire. After a few times you will learn to adjust it for flour or cereal. Most people grind the flour for bread to fine. We suggest that the flour be a little gritty when you rub it between your fingers. we have found this to make the best bread.
Stainless Steel Lid
Never lift off the metal lid before all the grains have been ground, or the grains will fall into the flour below
Soy Beans Or Flax Seed
When grinding these they sometimes tend to clog up the grinder. So we suggest that you grind them with a dry grain
Cleaning:
The hopper and the milling chamber can be kept clean by cleaning all excess flour dust from the interior with a soft brush. any stubborn accumulations of flour can be quickly removed by using a damp cloth and rubbing gently, periodic cleaning of your grinder will keep it operating smoothly for many years to come.
Using The Hand Crank:
Note. We offer a hand crank for your grinder for you to use in case of a power outage. This is an optional item and if you don’t have one see our parts page to order one.
Note the hand crank was designed to stay on the shaft only if there is pressure applied to it. That way if you quit grinding the handle will fall off, this was designed this way for safety reasons. To use take off the red cap cover from the motor shaft. and simply slip the handle on the end of the shaft.
Note first unplug the grinder from the electricity. Extremely dangerous to mill and operator if instructions are ignored. We are not liable for any accidents resulting from using this hand crank.

Do not place any objects in the intake hole such as knives, fingers, sticks, screws, Placing any foreign objests in the hole of your grinder is very dangerous and can cause permanent damage. And such action invalidates the grinder warranty.
